It is common to have unburned fuel/oil mix leak out the prop. Are you sure this isn't what you see. Should be brown color if it is. Rick.

Its a blueish clear oil running down the skeg, the boat been sitting for a month now. (duck hunting boat). i do remember decoy string got tangled in prop also, but yea I do beleive its gear oil leaking from around the prop.I wiped it off today so in a couple of days I will look to see if its back on the skeg again.

Check you LU oil level and condition. Make sure it does not look milky and the level is at the top of the vent.

You may be seeing unburned 2-stroke oil as already suggested.

pull the prop, if it is leaking from around the seal, it needs replacing, remember the exhaust exits thru the prop. but that is usually black ooosse.

can you repair yourself yes, with an oem manual.

so whats involved in fixing this leak? I do have a repair manual but it doesnt say anything about fixing this problem. Its an older seloc book. It look like from the pictures in the book there is a couple of seals in there, can i just pull the prop off and remove the seals?
