Hi need some help I got a 1992 evinrude 48 spl was out last week and ran great got home and pulled the carbs of and cleaned them and put back on and was out this weekend and now motor starts right up and runs good but when you go to give it full throttle it won't go it act like full throttle is like half??
If it ran good before you pulled the Carbs, and now runs sluggish, chances are the problem is in the carbs....I would re-pull and check them. Make sure you don't have the floats in upside down (which is easy to do) Check your main jets for crud that might have been sucked up after you did the cleaning (has happened to me)
I love the 48 spl. A solid motor, easy to work on, and reliable. I've been having my own issues of late with powerpack upgrade, but think I might have figured it out.
I would double check your carb work first
