Is replacing a floor on a bow runner boat hard and is it a do it yourself project? Also a deep scratch in the gelcoat can it be fixed to look like it was never scratch? Can I fix myself the scratch and is it expensive to do?

Use the search function and search "replace deck" or floor. You can purchase a kit to repair scratches in the gelcoat at the marine stores. It is not hard to do and if you have a decent eye for color you can make it disappear. Under $20.<br />Good luck.

Replacing the floor is not easy, but hard no. I just finished my 17' bowrider. It is not a weekend job, make sure you clean out all the old junk, especially around the edges. Mine was absolutely shot, seems the guy before me put a floor over a bad floor. Took all that out, and built a floor out of 5/8" plywood, glassed it in, and viola, I have a new floor. Don't be afraid to try it yourself, but give yourself time to do it.
