Need help on Mecury 120XR motor timing!

Anyone knows how to set the timing on the 120xr motor or has a manual, wire diagram? Please help if you can! thanks

Never heard of a 120XR in an IO, sure this isn't some outboard motor stuck on a jet pump inside a boat?

It is an inboard motor 120XR sport jet!

It might be inside the boat, but it's still a Mercury outboard motor.

easy to time..... The timing adjustment is on the opisite side as the starter. should be a line there and markings on the fly wheel. manual says you want it to be 30 degs advanced. So if the boat runs start it and put a light on it until the 30 deg mark on the fly wheel lines up. if it back fired move the adjustment out a little (retards it) if it doesnt start or comes out the carb move the screw in a little bit to advance it. Same thing once it is running move it until the 30 meets up with the line.
