Alright so its time to buy a boat and I need to pick one out

My standards are
-Has to be a Walk around
-bigger then 19 Feet
-Under 30,000

Ive looked at proline boats and they look rather nice, but I was browsing and I hear there are problems with the hulls cracking, I looked at Anglers and people say they have problems with their gel coat cracking.

Im considering trophy or carolina skiff

Please post your opinions on what I should get

How are Grady Whites

I haven't yet heard that about Proline so I'm waiting for Proline owners to talk about that one.

Grady Whites are great, but there aren't even many used ones out there for under $30,000. If you want to go back a several years though, they can be had in that price range:
http://boats.iboats.com/grady_white/

Trophy is a popular WA for a lot less $$ than Grady-White. A couple of other popular WAs are Seaswirl and Wellcraft. Dig around and you might also turn up a Steiger.

Kelly Cook

I surprised to hear that the Seaswirl and Wellcraft were a lot more. Unless the Trophy is a holdover boat from some prior year? Here is another thread with Trophy owners - Which Trophy to buy?

Kelly

I purchased a 95 20' Grady 208 Adventure with Yamaha 175 two years ago and have been very satisified with it. Walk around cuddy with hardtop option is the way to go. SV2 hull is for my money still the best small boat design out there. Rides like a much larger boat and very dry.

All things being equal You'll have to look for an older Grady then those others but if in good condition You'll have a better boat. I was asking the same qustions as You 3 years ago, was patient & found a 23 foot Grady in great condition well in You price range. An Angler salesperson, after hearing what I wanted, actually told Me I wouldn't be happy with an Angler.
