I would ask a dealer that carries yamaha's, or just go to Yamahas wbsite, and see if your model is aviliable with it, then tyou can search for the unit for the best price out there, good luck, and safe boating, and welcome to iboats

Yeah thats a bummer, but like you said there could be a after market for it, try the marine store on iboatsm, or do a web search, good luck, and let us know what you find:)

Re: Need help please.....

The easiest way to get that done is with a CMC tilt trim, look in the iboats store, they have them there at a really good price, they aren't cheap but better than the alternative.
I have never priced an OEM tilt trim but I'll bet the CMC is less and it is bolt on with a warranty.
Install should be an hour or two.
Have had on one my boat for 3-4 years and it has never missed a beat, I spent the extra hundred on the gage and kinda wish I hadn't now as I never use it.
Once you have run it for awhile you get a feel for where the tilt should be and never look at the gage anyhow.
To go factory you would probly have to tear the engine mount apart to get it in.
On mine I put the switch right on the throttle with a hose clamp and then wrapped it with black tape, doesn't look to hokey and it works like a factory switch.
If you don't want to do that maybe post in the Yamaha forum and see what they say about adding tilt, maybe it can be done easier than I think.

I have the cmc pt35 on my little 10 foot invader. Love it. Just remember that it will move the motor back about 5 inchs. Make sure your cables are long enough. Also the set back will allow you to move your motor up higher on the plate. I was able to fit all the wiring and relays under the engine cover.
