I just picked up a 211 Liberator for parts.
Its a heap but the winshield is good and my Liberator doesn't have the factory windshield on it.
Does anybody know how to remove and replace it?
Not sure if it attaches from underneath or from the top side.

Re: Need help removing WINDSHIELD

I just happened upon a thread today that may give you a nice visual aid: http://forums.iboats.com/showthread.php?t=513192&page=2 scroll almost all the way down. The screws are under that black strip he's asking about how to remove.

Some windshields (mine for example) are held done by square headed bolts that slide into a channel on the bottom of the frame.

Thanks for the link. It was really easy to remove. Had it off in 10 minutes.
On the Liberator the screws are under the black strip.

Sorry to thread hijack, but does anyone know where to get replacement black trim?

Mine was old and brittle and busted up upon removal from my parts boat - I'm going to assume it will be the same on mine.

I went to a hardware store with a chunk of mine and ended up buying black door/window weatherstrip the same size.. The only downside was that it had adhesive on one side of it, so I left the wax coated paper on the adhesive side and shoved it into the channel. it fit well and looks good.. I think it was about $6 for 2 rolls. $40 or so less than the "real" trim piece.

As this post might be relevant to the thread .. I would suggest calling up Taylor Made.

I dont think they make the Plastic snap in stuff anymore .. its just the rubber inserts ( IMO better anyways ).

YD.
