I have a 1994 Bayliner 1850 Capri that I am converting to a fish and ski. I noticed they sell covers that are designated for fish and ski boats. Does anyone have any experience with these covers? Do they fit good? My biggest concern is making sure it fits right with a bow mount trolling motor. I was almost thinking it might be a good idea to buy the next size up. For example since my boat is an 18 footer buying a cover for a 19 footer instead just to make sure it fits nice.

If anyone can recommend a great brand or help with the sizing it would be very much appreciated.

Thanks :)

Re: Need help selecting boat cover

i'd go with a cover that most fits your boat design. you may be converting it to a fish and ski, but the hull design hasn't changed so i'd think staying with a cover for the boat design would be best. do measure your boat. including beam. my boat has a hard top so i had to take this into consideration. for me, i needed wide to compensate. i ended up getting a cover that fit a 21' boat for my 19' boat to get the extra width i needed. it has a good fit albeit a shade long.... protects my wench for the extra length,. but it works and i'm full covered. i'm just saying, consider your your boat design and your mods and buy accordingly.
