update: it's running like a champ again! apparently when i put everything back together i accidentally connected the throttle linkage wrong and as soon as i fixed that it ran great. i did have to adjust the low speed setting and the idle adjustment but it idled in a tank for 10-15 minutes without shutting off. thanks for all the help.

ugh...well after getting the motor running 2 months ago it was running great so when i was satisfied with how it was running, i ran most of the gas out of it and put it away because i knew i wouldn't be using it for a while. well i went to crank it up this past weekend and it cranks right up but immediately dies. does this seem like a fuel issue? i wouldn't think 2 months would be enough time for the gas to clog anything up especially since it's treated with Stabil and i ran just about all of it out of the motor.

Pull the carb bowl drain plug, hook up fuel line and pump primer bulb and see if you get fuel out of it. May have a stuck needle in carb.
