Need help troubleshooting 1989 40hp 2stroke tiller

I was out on the lake this past weekend and I had a very hard time starting my outboard.It had not been run for approx 1 mo. and stored outdoors in MO. Normally pops right off. This was a no wake lake so not alot of RPMs troughout the day. Motor seemed to smoke more than normal. Outside temp mid 60's. Upon taking the boat out of the water I noticed a brownish oil and water "froth" coming out of the exhaust and intake ports. Any thoughts??

It sounds like you might have dropped 1 cyl.<br /><br />Do a compression test and check for spark.<br /><br />TMD

I don't have a repair manual for this outboard. What psi should I be seeing per cylinder?<br />Thanks much. <br />P.S. This is a 4 banger.
