I just bought a 1983 Bayliner 1950 Capri. What is the difference between the 1950 Capri and the 1950 Capri Bowrider? Are they the same? How do I know which one I have? Also I know nothing about fixing a boat so I want to know how hard is it to replace the boot on this boat that has a AQ125A inboard 4 cycle Volvo-Penta motor? Can we do it at home or is it easier to take it to someone else to fix? Also we have to repair or replace the hydraulic tilt pump just so we can get the motor in and out of the water...is that hard to do? Does anyone have ideas or know a great and easy step by step guide to fix these problems? Also does anyone know where we can get these parts very cheap? Thank you so much to everyone ahead of time who helps me!! Danielle:confused:

360.435.8957 call that phone number and give them the hull ID #. its located on the stern (back) of the boat, on the right side. they will tell you. In my signature pic, thats my capri 1950 CX bowrider but its an 87.

as for the parts, start buy purchasing a Seloc manual for it, they are very descriptive and even have difficulty levels for the different repair procedures in there.
