I just bought a 94 johnson 15hp. Replaced both coils and power pack and plug wires along with the champion plugs cause it was throwing spark from the coil boot to the plug boot and cleaned the carb and did the link and sync according to the owners manual heres where I need help. The motor starts great and idles great revs up good and shifts smoothly but when I took it to the river this last weekend I couldnt even get my 14/36 jon off the trailer it would start fine but as soon as I put it I to gear and gave it a little throttle the motor bogged amd died. Where should I start. I have even compression at about 80 psi on each great spark thats no longer jumping so I'm leaning towards fuel? Too low of compression? (Ive seen engines run on less) Maybe I didnt get the carb clean enough? Please help

Open the low speed jet another 1/4 turn.
I'm about to ask a dumb question cause I'm fairly new to all this. Thats the screw on the side with the spring around it correct?

out for soaking. Then spray with carb spray using the plastic nozzle. Replace (just snug).

Got the carb put back together and now it wont run longer than 5 seconds. I'm taking the thing to the shop when I can afford it I'm not wasting another summer working on this dam thing. Thanks for all the advice
