im new to site so just for a little insight i have a 15' lowe aluminum with a 1982 25 horse evinrude stick steer its a great little boat i bought about a month ago but i had a few probs right off the bat so i brought it to a guy my dad knows he went through and rebuilt the carb, rebuilt the fuel pump, put some new fuel lines, and put a new set a plugs in it so i take it out to the lake and it starts up perfectly, idles smooth as can be,and when in neutral it will rev up to max rpms but when i put in gear and start going after half throttle its starts cutting out a lil and then i can eventually get it up to smooth 3/4 throttle but if i try to go any further than 3/4 it starts to die out it wont die or stall out but it just starts running really bad any help will be greatly appreciated with this and thank you in advance

Sounds like it's starved for enough fuel. If so, could be several things ...

Assuming that the carb and pump re-builds are good, could be an air leak in a fuel line connection or carb to manifold gasket.

Checked the fuel tank pickup screen for blockage? Fresh gas?

Have your tried pumping the primer bulb while trying to get to WOT?

linc n sinc, carb butterflies may be moving too far, cutting off air. at WOT the butterflies should be horizonal, to allow full air flow.

If you install a new tank and primer bulb, see if that cures your problem first.

If that doesn't cure your problem ... check the position of the butterfly valve in your carburetor (as tashasdaddy suggested). They should be completely open to reach WOT.

If the butterfly is wide open, then it's likely your fuel pump. (I know you said it was just rebuilt, but that would be my bet.)

The only other thing to check would be air leaking into the system ... poor gas line connection(s) to the fuel pump and/or carburetor. (I know you said the fuel lines were just replaced, but were all the connections tight?)

Good luck ... and let us know what you find!
