Did some looking on my prop today and was only able to find one number: FAC269, does this number represent a size? If so could someone tell me what it is, specifically the pitch. The motor is a 1973 65 hp evinrude. Any information helps. Thanks.

While that number may represent a specific prop, the numbers do not translate directly to diameter and pitch. That is a manufacturers part number. I did a quick yahoo search and turned up nothing. Don't know where on the prop you found this number, but remove the prop nut and check the hub, as you may find diameter and pitch there. FAC269 may also be a rebuilders mark.

look real hard for a number engraved on the base of the prop, inbetween the blades. right where the prop meets the lowerunit casing. That is where my numbers are. it should say something like 17-13 1/4
