Hey guys I am new here, but I just bought a used Honda 15 hp 4 stroke with a model number of BF15A. The serial number plate is blank or has been painted over. The engine number is BAAE 1226592. I am trying to find parts for this motor but cant identify which year to look for. The guy I bought it from said he thinks it was a 98 but the schematics don't match up. This motor is short shaft,electric start, and tiller handle setup. Any info would help tremendously. the motor doesn't **** water out consistently and I am thinking its the impeller that needs to be replaced. Also it wants to kick up on me in reverse, so I am thinking there are a couple parts in the tilt that could use replacing. So I am hoping someone in here can help me out , so I can get some parts, get it fixed, and get out on the water. Thank you
