Need Help with engine and part

Hello am new to this i search around and couldnt find the same problem. I attached a few photos. i need help installing this new part which by the way i dont no what it is. Can some one explain what it is. Am new to boats am a good mechanic but not boat wise, Also could you explain where the 2 wires go that are coming from the blue body of this cylinder? Also can someone tell me what type of engine this is size???? thank you

Its a Ford 351 . That is a trim solenoid set and pump and you are in the wrong forum.
