Hi, I am new to the forum and am looking for some help. I have a 2009 Glastron GT185 with 4.3 Merc, in Royal Blue. We love the boat and have thoroughly enjoyed it over the past summer. The problem is that the sun lounge (engine cover) got damaged :(. I want to either replace the vinyl on the cover or have it repaired. My dealer is having no luck getting any info from Glastron. I am wondering if anyone knows the name of the manufacturer of the vinyl and the particular vinyl used. I am pretty sure that the blue is made by Spradling and that the pattern is Gemini Electric. What I am not sure about is the white (not the pleated white) but the smooth white that is on either side of the cover. If anyone knows, it would be great. The local upholstery shop says no problem to make the repair, we just need to match the vinyl.

Thanks

since Glastron is in the midst of transition between owners it may be a problem. I have had good luck with glastron's customer service over the eight years i have had one of th eir boats. It wouldn't hurt to try yourself.

Re: Need help with Glastron upholstery

I'm not sure what brand it is, but I am not happy myself with the quality. I am starting to get a tear in my bench seat seam. I don't know if its from people stepping there when entering the boat or what... but I have a 2010. Its nothing serious, but I am not happy. Im fighting with glastron right now to repair my hull for gel coat voids with their mold process. Poor prep....

I have a couple small tears also and was considering putting on some of that gel that keeps it from spreading... anyone ever used any that they would recommend?
