Need help with my messup please

Ok first off i bought a 50boat hp force 1988 D ignition i t didnt come with controles so i got a used set from local marina hooked it up started it by hand starter wasnt (working right ) wasnt pissing so changed impeller went to check no start well after scraching my head and checking wiring for two days realized i hooked up + feed on controler to+under dash so i fixed that still no spark did i fry somthing if so what also choke doent engage when i push key any help would be great and yes if u havent ever messed up bring the comments lol

check the fuse under the motor cowling near the starter motor. Also check the safety lanyard is attached and the shifter is in natural

First off ty for quick responce also to clarify it turns overwithwhat key just no spark i checked the rezitafier dy pulling red wire pulled white wire for kill switch and also checked all grounds 3+ times also changed a few coroded wire ends

Make sure your neutral safety switch coming off the new controls is hooked up (if it has one). The wires are yellow with red stripe I think.

Update to any that have this problem it was control module hope it helps out future searchers also ty for replys
