need help with new prop

I recently bought a new prop using prop finder to get a compatable prop for my etec 135 ho. I went with a evinrude prop because that is what my old prop was. When I switched the props out I noticed they were different. The new prop fits but when I put it on, it sinks in until the groove on the prop stops it from going further and I was under the impression that it should not go in that far. The old prop does not go in up to the groove. I exchanged it for a Solas prop and I am running into the same issue. I attached pictures so you can see what I mean. I am just wondering if this is fine and if not what do I need to do.

Just drive to the dealer where you got it.------I am sure they will explain and correct the issue.

If the new prop is actually hitting the housing, looks to me that you need a thicker thrust washer to use with new prop. Or it's just not the right prop for your engine.

Yeah I bought it online. I returned the evinrude prop thinking it was the wrong prop and bought a solas (part number 2511-145-19) which is the one I have now. It is identical to the eninrude one I returned though.

Simply order the washer for the solas prop you bought that's recommended for your application.Fixed hub and new style are differnt and the solas amita is fixed or pressed in hub .Same issue with my etec but I had several washers for the motor as all my old 90hp stuff fit .

Looks more like the prop is for a small gear case. Measure the front of your old prop and new one.

The diameters are the same. I think 82rude might be right, i just need to figure out which washer to get.

The solas washers are unavailable, anyone have an idea of which one to get with that prop that would work?

The outside edge of the prop should be flush with the housing. Is it a 4 1/4 or 4 3/4 gear case ?

Wesnewell, it says that washer is on backorder and unavailable. Is there one that I could use that is available?

I will try to get the model number when I get home. It's a 2016 evinrude etec 135 HO though
