Need help with plug-in pedestal seats

I have a 2012 Tracker Pro Guide V175SC. I have a very hard time removing the pedestals from the base to change seat position. I would appreciate any suggestions to address this problem. Thanks.

Are you trying to change the seat height or move the pedestal base on the deck?

if your pedestals stick, coat them with candle wax

I am trying to remove the pedestal from the base

The post turns slightly on my boat but pushing the button does not seem to unlock the post so it will come out. Hope someone has found a fix for this problem.
