I recently got a new set of gauges from a dealer. The set was in a dash from a manufacturer that never went to production with this set of gauges. They are made by VDO, but when I called VDO, they said it was made to specs for Four Winns. <br /><br />I called Four Winns, and he gave me a part number for the paddle wheel sending unit, and said I could order it from any Four Winns or Volvo Penta dealer. I don't have a Four Winns dealer here, and the VP dealer couldn't help.<br /><br />What I am hoping for is that someone knows a way to cross reference this sending unit so I can find one locally.<br /><br />On the gauge it says:<br /><br />USA Nr. : 1 292 100 029<br />VDO Nr. : N 01 112 257<br /><br />The Four Winns tech department said to get sending unit part # 028-1287-02.<br /><br />Anyone got any ideas of what I could use? I hate to special order and it not be right. If I could find a cross, the local dealer will let me try it out and if it doesn't work bring it back and try another.<br /><br />Thanks!
