Hi everyone I am new here and stumbled across this forum while trying to learn about my vintage outboard. I was hoping someone out there might be able to help me. The serial number on my motor is 15012-42814, I believe it is a 1953 Evinrude fastwin 15. Please correct me if I am wrong. What I am in desperate need of is the glass sediment bowl that goes on the bottom of the carburetor. I have found a few but without a part number I have no idea if they are the correct one or not short of buying 5 or 6 and hoping 1 fits. If anyone can help steer me in the right direction I would much appreciate it! Thanks!

Moving this over to the Johnson/Evenrude forum. Seems you mistakenly put it in the Merc/Mariner forum.

That raises an interesting point. Are all the glass bowls the same size on the 50's models as they sure look the same but I have never tried to swap em to see.

Your particular Fastwin was built in 1954 (s/n 19001+)

The bowls are not the same on all models. I believe the bowls are the same on the 5.5 - 7.5 hp and the 10 - 15 hp. I don't know about the +18 hp, but they are different still.

Thanks, I guess we will find out I just ordered the 303121 so lets cross our fingers. I'll admit it looks a bit different from the one I remember the motor having (I lost the original). If anyone else has the definitive answer on the part number I need I would appreciate it. Until then all I can do is wait and try the 303121 when it gets here. Thanks for all the help, love this forum!

FR gave you the right numbers. PM me your email address and I'll send you the parts manual for your motor.
