need help with year model of Merc Outboard

I have the serial number to my Merc Outboard, and would like to find out the year the motor was made? Any suggestions as to where I can look up a serial number. Serial Number is: 4373060. Any help appreciated.<br /><br />

its a 85 horse mercury, serial #4373060.

is a 1975 4366802 to 4590512 are production numbers
