how do i shift a 115 mercury manually i think its a 70's or 80's dont have the serial number on me sorry... i need to trouble shoot the shifting cable to make sure that isnt or is the problem please let me know thanks....

On the port lower side of the motor, under the wrap cowling is a shift slider. Push it forward for forward, or backward for reverse.
