I have searched and found some good stuff but not exactly what i need. It's an 1989 Evinrude 25 electric start. It was repaired and was running about 4 years ago and we never got to use it. I just got it out and started gettin it to run right. I had no idea about 2 stroke motors only 4 stroke so dont get mad at me for my ignorance! I poured out the old gas we had used for it and i mixed some new gas with crappy Fred's brand universal oil mix. I mixed it for 50:1 but its not exact. My idiot self couldnt get it runnin so i sprayed a little engine starting fluid in it. I didnt know! The flywheel wouldnt turn freely after that. Then we realized i didnt have the emergency clip in!!! I felt like an idiot! So we got it to start by manually choking it by covering the throttle body. It will start and run while you have the throttle up but it will cut off. The flywheel still wont turn freely. Could it just be the crappy Fred's oil or should i get some twc-3 and put some in the spark plug holes to lube the pistons or did i mess it up bad when i use the starter fluid? Please help!
