trying to find out how to dake the shift rod off a 1977 johnson 115 i see where it is connected but there are no bolts screws looks like its bradded i need a pictur my book is to new, what it shows is different.
Look at this,notice part #76 is the shiftrod connector,I believe you drop the lower it will come down and stop,go in that gap and disconnect the connector,You might want to leave 2 bolts holding the lower in by just a few threads so the lower doesnt fall and crack. http://www.crowleymarine.com/johnson-evinrude/parts/43387.cfm
