Need help

I have a1999 ranger r61 with a 1997 90hp Mercury elpto. It would run 40mph 5000rpm at wot. But it’s slowly getting slower now it goes 30mph at 4500rpm at wot. gets on plane fine just no top end anymore. Recently Had a fuel pump diaphragm Put in. Any help and ideas on what to look for would be greatly appreciated.

I have not when the boat shop put the fuel pump diaphragm in they Dynoed it and check compression and said all was good iv had it out 6-8 times since then but I’ll check it and get back to u

Really, you paid to have the motor dynoed after a fuel pump diaphragm replacement?
Sounds like a big expense for just a pump issue

www.cdielectronics.com will have the procedure for.testing your ignition. You may have a failing stator.

Compression check the first go to port of call on all 2 strokes of an age. Rule it out for peace of mind. All the best.
