need impeller help quick please

Hi Yall, i just bought a boat with a 1977 115 johnson on it, i cant rember how to get the lower unit off to do the pump i got all the hidden bolts and its liise but the shifter is holding me up and i cant rember how or where to unhook it

wife wants to be an the water this weekend and do some camping and if i dont get this fixed im in deep doo doo

thank you much..... i got it apart and sombody didnt get the pipes put back in place right, fixed that started it and did ok but there was a knock in the motor i didnt hear it when the guy started it up before i bought it so i run the gas up about 1/2 way and the knock got loud then pow no more motor i didnt rev it up before i bought it because i have always been told not to do that with it on a hose and not in the lake. i have it in a tank.

Sorry to hear that ... guess you won't be in your wife's best graces ... for a while, at least.

Did the guy you bought it from say that he'd just put a new water pump in it (himself)?
