need info about my 1990 90hp

its me again can some one point me in the right direction to find specs for my J90TLASB 1990 90hp johnson? i need to know wut the Max optimal rpm is, idle rpm, AND are the carbs adjustable?

5800 RPM @ WOT, idle set in gear (in the water) ~ 650 RPM , most recent vintage motors have fixed high and low jets.

Thank you. how about idle in Neutral? right now it idels at 1500 in neutral and any thing lower than that it s hard to start. my omc control is the 1 stick type and you cant idle it up for starting and its got the safty swich so i cant start it in gear to get a higher rpm(if that makes any sence at all)

Idle is set in gear, not neutral. 1500 is way too high. I've had a number of single lever controls for OMC products and all had a fast idle in neutral lever or adjustment.

this is are first boat with a consol so trying to learn to adjust the cabels and stuff
(are 16' flat bottom cedar has a 25 seahorse with the good ol tiller handel)

we went out on the boat for the first time sat and sun and it was ideling around 800 in neutral. but it would start realy hard so i would remove the cover and hold the trotel on the carb open just a little and it would start right up.so we tuned the idel up to accommodat for this. we ended up with about 1200 to 1500 in neutral wich we felt was to high but any lower and it wont start. is this a carb a ajustment prob? I felt that we should clean out the carbs and it mite help.

Some controls, you press the disc with the "OMC" on it inward while moving the shift lever forward. Others have a similar function button located on the binnacle housing elsewhere. Some have no button, but the entire lever is pulled outward, then forward to advance the throttle. I've yet to see one without this feature, although it's been implemented in different (and sometimes non-obvious) ways. Is there a large button on the binnacle housing just inboard of the throttle lever? Can't tell from your picture.

A quick stop at any BRP dealer should demystify the situation in a hurry.

yea serviced the foot to day (replaced with omc hi-vis) and got my idle(in gear)down to 700rpm
