Need Info on 1995 Bayliner

Hi... I have a chance to pick up a boat that is about half way through restoration. I have not seen the boat yet. All I know is that it is 1995 17' with a 4 Cyl Inboard motor. Does anyone have any idea what make motor this may be? Iam told that it runs good. The interior of the boat needs to be finished? Thanks for your time, Tim

95 more then likely has a MERCRUSER engine. I had the 4 banger in my old 19 footer and it wasnt a bad motor and for you in a 17 footer will be really nice.

I think the 95's either had Mercruser or Volvo's but it sounds like if its the 3.0 then its more then likely the MERCRUSER......

The boat is problably a CAPRI if its a BAYLINER.. that was a popular model..

If it is the same as mine, you have a 3.0 mercury engine. It is the same motor that came in a 1995 ford escort. I get most of my engine parts from O'Reiley's or Auto Zone.
