Hello
I want to restaurate my omc sterndrive who has some information of this type off sterndrive?
My boat is a Wellcraft nova and a a ford ( i think 302) motor.

the numbers on the sterndrive are 98106 and 10300 The boat is of 1976
and a number N1821185b

Welcome hollebolle!

Looks like you have an OMC electric shift Stringer. They didn't have model numbers for the electric shifts per se, but there's some information about them here: http://hhscott.com/evinrude/omc_stringer.htm

There's also a few posts on the forum by NWRedneck with some great information on them.

thanks for this information i check the information written by redneck so its elecktric shift Thats why there is no contact whit the prop

If I follow your question right, the prop is able to spin free while the engine is off or in neutral because the gears engage when coils at the forward (or reverse) gear are energized.

Yes thats right i want to check the gear (forward and back drive). When i put power on one of the cables can i check the working of the electric gear.?
Sorry for my bad english, but i have a lot of questions, talking english is better than writing!

Yes, you can energize the cables and see if the gears connect up.

hello The gear is working thats the first possitive thing, do you know a site where i can order gasketsin the USA for my omc sterndrive? or ford inboard motor?
