I have a 1987 Citation Bowrider i got it in oct. 08 for $650 inc.trailer
I got it for a learning experience i knew it had a few things wrong with it but i didnt know how bad the floor actually was untill i ripped the carpet up to see.
I have a few pics here i took to show you guys what im working with, Take a look ....
Im looking for honest opinions on my boat. What would you do if it was yours??
I really like the little boat, the exterior design has grown on me, the motor runs excelent and besides this interior its ready to go and i cant imagine replacing it for a better boat anywhere near what i paid for it...
So should i just plop a sheet of pressuretreated plywood over the whole floor and call it a day, at least till winter? Or does this require imediate attention before i use it?
My dad said if i wanted to just go with a quick fix for now, there is a liquid that you poor into the stringer (you drill holes into it, then poor the liquid in the holes) that soaks up water/dampness and dries hard, basicaly making it hard again. The thing is the stringer doesnt look bad to me at least and they are hard from what i can tell, but maybe someone here can chime in with a bit more experience then i have and point me in the right direction so i can get out on the water..
