need manuals for merc

I have a 1973, 20 foot starcraft with a ford 302, mercusier 188 hp Model 888. Engine serial number is 3686997 engine model number 28883. I need the service manuals for this engine and alpha one drive unit. and help will be appreciated thanks

You need Mercruiser service manual # 1 for the engine, and # 6 for the stern drive.....I have the same set-up as you.....Manual #2 would work for the engine,too....Look on Ebay but they can get pricey.....Or you could look on Stemtostern.com. They will print them to order....Don't waste your money on a Seloc or Clymer's.....JK

Then keep an eye on ebay....Sometimes they sell cheap. Get merc. one's though....JK
