how to change pull cord

my pull cord broke off on my 1983 mercury 7.5 hsp model #1007223-serial # 6241553 is there a diagram, or illustration, on how to install a new pull chord on this motor?

won't start

won't start

managed to get the new pull cord on , and now i can't get it started.....its getting spark,getting gas,but won't start.....even tried putting gas into the cylinders and nothing,it turns but won't start.....even disconnected the kill switch,changed plugs.oh,by the way (compression is 120 in each cylinder.).....nothing,nothing,nothing,,,,,,,what could be the problem.?????????
