Nope. 75 is the most horsepower offered in a Johnnyrude triple. You're not going to see a 10mph gain without substantially more cubic inches. Mid 30s is about all you can expect out of a triple on a conventional boat. If you want 45+ out of your 75, you need to hang it on a racing hull.

I get mid 40,s with a 140hp V4 Johnson on a similar sized boat. My friend gets about the same as you with his 75hp on a similar sized boat although he has a Yamaha

how bout on a bass boat? Would that make it go any better than the deep v-hulls?

Neal, since we can't see your rig let's start with the basics. What prop do you have? Brand, style, pitch and diameter. What's the top (accurate) rpm? Accurate top speed? We'll figure the slip % and go from there.

You may be able to increase the efficiency some but gaining 10 mph is a real stretch.

I get about 40-41 out of my 1980 Johnson 75 on a lightweight 15-foot V-hull. That's about as good as you're going to get with a stock motor on a decent hull.

If you need more speed than that, get a bigger motor...

Is your speed on GPS?
You may get a couple of MPH by fine tuning your set up.
Raise the motor verticly, be sure your prop is in excellent condition.
As stated give us the info requested and the guys may be able to get you set up with the best prop selection.
Your not likely to see 40 unless your setup is terrible now.
