I need to find the year of one of my motors - Tecumsen 642-35, 1344 sea king 3.5 . can anyone help or let me know were I need to go?

the closest I can find to your engine number is a 642-31a, 642-31b any chance you misread the last no.s
these engines were used on the 81-82 eskas 3.5 and had twist grip throttle.

The only numbers I can find on the motor are on a metal tag connected to the carberator mount the tag reads 643-35 Tecumseh 1344. the motor is a Montgomery Ward Sea King 3.5

You changed numbers on me 642 or 643?
best I can do is cross reference with eska, 642 no. is 3.5 and a 643 no. is a 5.5hp except in some of the earler years...tell me does your sea king have a twist grip throttle?

The number is 642 and it is a 3.5hp it is not a twist grip throttle a lever on the back of the motor. That is the info for my motor you sent me, but I'm looking for the gas shut off and on control. Thanks so much for your help!!

you talking about a gas shut off valve? located @ the tank or inline?

Inline mounted between the tank and carb. I'm a full time grandpa and was a
2nd class boats in the mid 70's. I could rig a shut off but I wanted the orignal part. Thanks again!

Gotcha on the full time Grandpaw and old boats, my greatest joy in life is my relationship with my grandson...

Boats are better than 4 wheel ATV's, you learn command and control with a boat, ATV's break your neck

Hi,
I'm new here and have an ESKA 4.0 but can't find a model number to determine what year it is. The top (gas tank) has the original paint & decals, including the fuel mixture. In addition to the tank, there is a connection for an external fuel tank. Can someone tell me how to find the model number or perhaps what year the motor is?

Tks. Found this: 642-24 tecumseh 7007 Any idea what year it is? Seems there were mostly 3.5 & 5 hp but the original decal says 4. Any insight would be appreciated.
