I just purchased a Motorguide 756 Brute and it has no wiring running from the pedal to plug into the front electrical hookup. The previous owner stated that he just used this on 24v. The black wire under the pedal has been cut and spliced. There are no other wires to hook to. I assume that he removed the power cord to do this rig up. I am somewhat able to do wiring, but this has me stumped. Shouldn't there be at least 2 wires to hook to? My boat has a three prong plug on the old TM and in the front boat hook-up.
I searched Motorguide threads here and elsewhere and saw several requests for wiring diagrams and saw some for boat wiring to the TM but none of how to hook up the wiring under the foot pedal. Does anyone have a diagram or can you draw one to help me understand this?
Is the 12V option just a waste or should I hook this up with the 12/24V option?
