Hi Guys,

So I posted my boat up for sale because I wanted to upgrade to a center console.
A guy message me and offered a trade since he wanted to down grade.
Its a 1984 Steiger 18' Center Console w/ Mercury 80 HP.
He is unsure of year or motor or trailer. He also said the motor was "Serviced" from top to bottom,
but after running some two year old gas the motor no longer starts. That it tries to start
but never catches. He also said that the "**** stream is strong".

Should I run as far and as fast as I can? There also looks like the front had some damage.

I guess my biggest concern is the motor. The rest seems like its cosmetic...

Dunno' what kinda' shape yer' Smoker is in - and therefore what the value of it is, but the boat you've got listed here is a hull that might have some questionable integrity up front with a motor that doesn't work, but has no urinary issues.

I like the hull style, but I'm concerned this boat hasn't been well cared for. Good Lord only knows how much it'll take to make the motor work pushing a boat as well as it moves water.

I'd say move on based on the limited information.
