lol well she used to it by now, lol but she got a painting lesson when i was paintin the boat i have now so that counts for somethin right? lol and i didnt realize a boats blue book value quit mattering as fast as a trucks did, so thats another thought im havin now, but i guess ill just hang out until he decides if hes gonna take my offer or not, ive decided i'll come up to 1500 just because i know he paid 2000 for it, so i dont wanna make him feel like im tryin to rip him off......idk

Better yet....finish college (Graduate)...get a decent job and then buy a friggen boat. You're only priority in life at this very moment should be to get your degree and be a positive contributer to society.

Quit worrying about a friggen boat and get to work studying man....you have plenty of life ahead of you to worry about a boat.

Here's an idea since you are not yet convinced to walk away: tell the old man that he cannot expect to sell a 27 year old generic boat with the engine not working (which is true), so it has to get fixed anyway. Offer to take it in, get an estimate, and if it makes sense, fix it and he pays for it, and you buy for his (inflated) price. Or he subtracts the cost to repair, you buy it for the lower amount, and you pay to repair. That way, at least you will know what you are getting, when you pay too much for the whole deal. While you are at it, get an estimate on the wiring, and the trailer winch and bearings.

And please stop inserting lol throughout your posts, and break them up a little.
