I'm running a 2006 20'7" deep V pilot house boat (Defiance 200) that has an '05 Suzuki 140 on the back. The boat is fairly heavy due to the pilot house. I'm looking to re-prop.

I currently have what it came with 14X19 alum. Currently running WOT at 5700 RPM. Specs say I can run up to max WOT at 6200.

Any recommendation on props alum or SS that will bump my RPM up into that 6200 RPM range?

Have you worked with the set up to see if you can gain rpm without a different (smaller) prop?

What exactly do you mean by "work the setup?"

As far as trimming motor with the tilt and my trim tabs, then yes. WOT will remain 5600-5700 RPM

Have you tried raising the motor on the transom (increase the X dimension)?

No, I haven't moved the motor around.

You might take a pic of where or how the cav plate align's with the bottom of the keel. That is how far is your cav plate below the keel or above, these guy's take everything into consideration........... lol no to much guess work, but it pay's back quite well.......8)

I was hoping a prop would solve my issue vs. pulling motors.

I'll try to post a pic. just for the heck of it.

Bottom line is that I'm still within what Suzuki says is the normal range of 5600-6200, I'm just looking for a little jump.

I understand your frustration if that is the right wording, but if you are as lucky as i was, it would take a 250 hp outboard to get as much speed gain as my boat achieved just getting it right............ and that's thousand's of dollar's in horse power term's.
