NEED REVERSE GEAR for a MERC 100 '68-'69 cash waiting

Hi people, have any of you got a reverse gear for a '68-'69 merc 1000 inline 6? Mine has died <br /><br />The centre of the gear where the ratchet engages has separated from the outer part of the cog.<br /><br />I live in the UK and finding spares is REALLY hard. If anyone could help i could pay you via paypal. Please help me get some use out of my boat before summer dissapears!<br /><br />thanks in advance!

You can probobly find one at this site: maxrules.com<br />You'll need the motor's serial number.

Thanks for the tip, ive sent off a request. Would still like to hear from anyone that is willing to part with the reverse gear though!!<br /><br />PS does anyone know which other engines these gears were fitted to? It's just this could help widen my possibilities of getting one second hand. Thanks.
