Years ago Mrs.Link and I found a burger stand for a quick lunch and they offered a (very large) hamburger that I think serves 12 people.
This was thier claim to fame. + really good food
You had to order it 24 hrs in advance. So the bread maker could make the bun and meat guys could make the burger.

Two weeks after finding the place it was on a local tv show here in the NW.
We have decieded when Mrs.Link gets back to take my fishing partner and his family for a "day trip" and want to take them there.

This burger stand is on the coast between Seaside Oregon and the top of Washington.
We of course dont remember what trip we were on when we found it or we could narrow it down.

I just spent 4 hours doing google searches and found some really interesting things (be carefull what you search for) LOL

But no luck in finding the place.

Any help?

When you say it was on the coast, do you mean RIGHT on the coast (as in hwy 101) or just NEAR the coast (as in I-5)?

Because there's a Fuddruckers in Yakima (on the river, near the coast), that sells a 29.5 pound burger that you have to order 48 hours in advance...

Sounds pretty close to what you're describing, only it's on I-5 instead of hwy 101

Man thats bigger than the burger my Aunt used to make in her place! She called hers *the man handler* came with a basket of fries and most were feeding 4 people with it. Good luck finding the same place Link, with the same food. I have found places that were outstanding went back and they were so so, new cook I suppose.

Merry Christmas to all y'all!

Ok, there's a place kinda farther up, on the olympic penninsula, near where my parents now live, called Fat Smitty's (282624 Highway 101, near Port Townsend). They have an 8-pound burger that would easily feed 12 people. I don't know if you have to order in advance though.

Here's a pic of the place, you might recognise it.

If you really want to get your grub on, Elmer's BBQ in Tulsa Oklahoma is the place to do that. They really do have world famous BBQ ribs, and they've served them to every president of the United States since the 80's. I ate there on a business trip, but they also deliver via fed-ex, though I've never ordered their delivery. I have no idea if when you get it delivered if it comes hot or frozen with dry ice. But I'll tell ya, that's some of the best BBQ I've ever had.

I've found for some things like looking for businesses your better off to do a yahoo search. They seem to concentrate more on business searches whereas google looks for every little word.

Google earth shows lots of places to eat and other points of interest is why I suggested it.

Hey SgtMaj
No it is not the place. but But BUT it looks like a good place to explore!
And Port Townsend is close! We live in Lakewood WA.
Its all about spending time with friends.
Mrs.Link who is recovering from surgery in Norfolk VA thought it would be
a good idea to take them out to dinner.
And a BIG BURGER would just be fun!

Since you gave the addy I will call them tomorrow. OK After Christmas..
Merry Christmas!

Re: Need some help with a google search

I recently heard a news story that a 55 year old doctor was admitted into the army as a surgeon. Although he did have to get a special waiver from the President.
