I have a 1989 25ft Cobia Odyssey. I have a 2" hole on the back transom where they had routed an crazy old transducer plug through at one time. When I got the boat, I took out the old tranducer wire and blocked the hole with a drain plug plate and some 4200. It is right at the water line. This year I want to put in a wash down pump and hose to wash down fish blood while fishing. I want to do it the proper way and get a seacock and bronze through hull. The problem is, the water line is right in the middle of that existing hole. Any wave action and that pump will be sucking air. I cant put another hole any lower because then I run into the floation foam. If I go to the side of the floatation foam, then it will be behind the engine and will be impossible to open/close the seacock when I want. Is there a way I can put in a normal bronze through hull and then have a 90 and pipe on the outside? I know the washdown pumps can suck water up since a lot of guy hang a hose over the side of the boat to use them. Im just not sure what to do - I guess I could have threads cut on the inside of a through hull and put a 90 in, but who knows if that would actually match up with a normal sized pipe. Oh and to top it off, the transom is a full 3 inches thick
