Have a 88 Bayliner with a rack steering system. I'm going to repalce the steering cable assembly buit I can not get the spacer in behind the steering wheel to come off. I've removed the nut and washer and have pecked on it a little it's alluminum and about the dia. of a soft ball. The steering wheels bolts up to this piece with six small allen head bolts. Any help would surely be apprec. Thanks
