Bought two motors, but can not find information on them. One is a Evinrude lighttwin model 3302S S/N B7384. Its what I call a turnaround motor (no gear shift) Its in excellant condition. The other is a Johnson 4hp model 4W71D S/N E3358778 also excellant condition. Any information or help or opinions would be welcomed. What year, oil mix, lower unit oil, spark plug, a guess on value. Thanks

3302 is a 1963 3hp . Uses 24:1 fuel mix
4W71 is a 1971 4hp. uses 50:1 fuel mex
Both take J6C plugs at 0.030"

Both use a high vis outboard gear oil

Re: Need some I.D. help

I would run that 71 4hp at 24:1 also. There are no needle bearings in there at all. It is a friction motor. This I know because I rebuilt one due to a blown rod due to lack of oil.:D
