I too many hoses and not enough holes!
have a 1977 SeaRay SRV220 with an original Mercruiser 228 engine and what I think is an M outdrive. Serial number obliterated. Boat is in generally decent condition, was running until it stripped the steering spindle. I got an A1Gen1 outdrive to replace it and got the spindle nut off by drilling holes in the gimbal housing, but cracked the casting trying to drive a seized cotter pin out of the lower swivel pin. So had to pull the engine. I dummied out and did not mark where the hydraulic hoses from the outdrive went. I thought I would remember easily. That was in late August. Well, my Dad got sick and subsequently died, then Hurricane Ian damaged my big sailboat and this project got put aside. I marked everything else and everything is back together. BUT...I cannot for the life of me figure out where these 2 hoses from the outdrive go. I have two hoses from the trim pump going to the reverse lockout switch, one hydraulic type hose and another nylon (I assume return line). There is only one remaining port on the bottom of the pump. Not even sure it is a port unless the threads are stripped. Pump is a Prestolite I believe. I see no more ports on the reverse cutout switch. The original outdrive has two hoses. I also have a Oildyne pump that came with the Alpha, but it only has 2 ports. I have looked on the web and cannot find a hose routing schematic, nor have I been able to discover any ports elsewhere that I can plug the outdrive hoses into.

Some pics. first is bottom of pump. Maybe a stripped port? But two hoses coming out of pump.

second/third reverse cutout from top
fourth is from aft. No other ports seen.

I got an A1Gen1 outdrive to replace it
Ayuh,..... Welcome Aboard,...... You replaced the Drive,..?? or the transom assembly,..?? or both,..??

Trim pumps only use 2 ports, up, 'n down,.....

Yer best bet is to get a current issue trim pump, 'n lines, then get rid of the extra bits, plumbin' the pump directly to the trim manifold with just 2 lines,....

I cracked the gimbal housing so replaced it and everything else in the drive, used the old transom plate inside which appeared identical. I have the A1G1 pump.

You suggest bypassing the reverse lock valve?
