Re: need to change oil
The old oil is usually pulled out of the engine through the dipstick tubing. I believe you may find the top of the dipstick has a hose bib similiar to a garden hose connection. The vacuum system that pulls the oil out is available from West or Iboats for about $50. and it connects to the hose bib.
A tip is to warm the engine while it is in the water or on "muffs" to get the oil hot (easier to remove). You will also want to change the oil filter, check/change the oil in the stern drive and possible change the water pump impeller - but one task at a time.
Lots of work is a boater's curse, but it's fun once you get the hang of it.
Keep asking questions and you should get good advice here. You should also consider buying a manual for your engine-IO combination.
