Need to fix alot of scrapes and scratches

Just bought a used rental ski boat, and well it looks used..LOL!!! Has alot of scratches and scrapes, pretty much all over it, some are through the gel coat some are just minor but I would like to fill them in. I would also like to have the boat painted during the winter months but for now I just want to fill in the scratches and scrapes to get through the summer. What are some good products to use????? Just something easy to use for a do it yourselfer is what I'm lookng for..

I just used Marinetex and I have some overlap of Marinetex over the scratches. Is it best to sand it off or is there a better way to remove the excess.
