I am having a problem with idel speed. I have a 2007, 5.0L Mercruiser TKS. It starts cold n and runs perfect, untill the end of the day. When I am trying to dock the idel is to low and stalls. Is this a simple adjustment or is there more that I need to know? The manual talks about the adjustment screw being sealed.
I appreciate any help.
Thanks

Re: Need to increase idle speed.

The idle MIXTURE screw is sealed, not the idle speed screw. The picture below shows where the idle speed screw is located.

That engine should idle at 650 rpm in neutral. One thing you must do, is to put the Thunderbolt V distributor into base timing mode BEFORE you adjust the idle rpm, and make sure the timing is at 10?. The procedure is in the OEM service manual.
