thanks for the update and words of warning!!!

I have only sprayed a little bit on mine on the top 1/4 of the bunks - i figure it will help it slide if i don't back in far enough - that dry area of bunk will have a nice slide to it. Still pretty sticky going on/off. I sprayed on wet bunks (when parking trailer) - 5-10 times out later beads like crazy though whenever i put the boat in and look at bunks when i park trailer.

I think i am going to do another coat soon!

Danforth, while rereading I realized I never addressed your question regarding the front of the boat maybe being a little low. To answer your question, my bunks are not adjustable. And I was thinking that raising the front of the boat would only exagerate my problem, that problem being the stern settling as I pull out of the water, which was lifting the bow off of the bow rest.

I did add a 10" rubber keel roller to aforementioned trailer crossmember. Since installing the KeelGuard, I can definately see where the keel was bumping/rubbing against that crossmember. The keelgaurd was showing a slightly different color in an an area about 12" long. The keel roller will eliminate this from being possible. The second option was as Danforth suggested, raising the bunks a bit. I decided to keep it simple and try this first. Since the boat is loading beautifully, and the keel is no longer being damaged by scuffing the trailer, I am satisfiedwith the results. I am also open to raising the bunksa bit down the road if necessary.

Thanks for all of the help and thoughts!! I would have never thought of spraying silicone on the bunks!!!
